  • The Calder Valley

The Calder Valley is the place I call home. I will make posts surrounding this area often as it is truly an incredible, cultural and unspoiled place. Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Mytholmroyd , Sowerby Bridge and Halifax are the main towns that makeup the area. Lots of culture has emerged from this valley. For example: Happy Valley, the Brontë Sisters, a massive celebration of LGBTQ+ and probably the most famous one – Ed Sheeran.

Not only does it embrace culture but also nature. Wildlife throughout the valley is breathtaking. I live on the moors where animal life is at its peak. I wake up in the morning to various owls flying across the sky and pheasants and bunnies roaming the fields. It is truly a magical place to visit.

The valley also has great transportation with over 10 different bus routes throughout the valley and a great connection with the neighbouring cities: Leeds, Manchester, York and Bradford via train.

In conclusion, this unique hub of creativity and nature is a must visit . Not only can you take great photographs and eat great food, you can take home precious memories.
